Objective: DESCEND
Objective: DESCEND is a 2d top-down action/puzzle game where the goal is to clear each level to reach the bottom of a mysterious tower you have found yourself trapped within. Discover secrets, meet strange characters, defeat enemies, and decide your means of escape -- or perhaps, grapple with what it means to 'escape' in the first place. Which is the true prison -- the tower, or the vastness beyond?
Made in 2 weeks for the 1-BIT JAM #4. It was our first time making a game in such a small team, and the first time I developed a game (I only made music for past jams)! I'm overall quite happy with how this turned out for our first go at this.
NOTE: If you are playing on a Mac and are having issues, try using another browser like Safari. There are issues with chrome on Mac that breaks some parts of the game.
NOTE: Some people are having issues with fullscreen mode causing audio issues, play in non-fullscreen mode if you're experiencing that!

Thank you :D I checked out your page and I saw that you did narrative work on the “Catch Your Breath” game for the Brackeys jam which I played! It’s a funny coincidence because I was just talking to the composer for that game!
